Please don't imitate this approach to erecting wind turbines
unless you are a qualified tree climber
with appropriate safety gear.

There is one AWP36 turbine (left hand tree) and one old Whisper 1000 (right hand tree, in left hand picture) powering Ian's home,
in addition to the PV panels.

The AWP is 125 feet up a ladder.  The wind turbine is mounted on a pipe whcih is bolted to the tree in several places.  Ian has high quality climbing gear and a fall-arrestor (Lad-Saf) which make the installation very safe to visit and work on.  This type of tower is not recommended for folks without considerable climbing experience, and professional gear.
